Charleston, SC – This past quarter, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) awarded a contract to Hannah Solar Government Services (HSGS) that includes designing and installing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems across three of their campuses in the Atlanta area: Chamblee Campus, Roybal Campus, and Lawrenceville Campus. It is expected that there will be two roof-mounted arrays and one ground-mounted array.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has awarded a design-build contract to HSGS for their Ambulatory Care Center (ACC) in North Hills, California. The system is expected to be a parking canopy, providing shade to employees and visitors while generating energy for the facility.
Additionally, HSGS has finished construction of roof-mounted solar PV arrays on top of seven Target Stores across the state. These renewable energy systems range from 332 kilowatts (kW) in energy to 516.5 kW, and are located in the larger Charleston area, the larger Columbia area, and Aiken, South Carolina. It was a pleasure to design and install these seven arrays for Greenskies and Target.
The HSGS team also completed our contract with Midlands Housing Alliance. This contract included the design and installation of an 18.9 kW roof-mounted PV system on their Transitions Homeless Recovery Center. After commission, Midlands Housing Alliance—as well as the Star Gospel Mission Project completed at the beginning of this year—will receive pro-bono preventative maintenance services from HSGS, so they never have to worry about their solar PV system as they serve their respective communities.
