HSGS COMPLETES FAA PROJECT IN HAWAI’I

Jan 15, 2022 | News and Announcements

Summerville, SC – Before the COVID-19 Pandemic, Hannah Solar Government Services was awarded a project for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) by way of Noresco, Inc. Having completed another project in Hawai’i and two in the Marshall Islands of the South Pacific, our team was more than ready to take on another island project. Our diligent team of NABCEP-certified photovoltaic (PV) designers and licensed Professional Engineers (P.E.) designed a 495-kilowatt solar PV parking canopy. Then, our experienced team of NABCEP-certified PV installers and electricians constructed the site and installed the renewable energy system while being cognizant of COVID-19 rules. Now, the FAA at the Honolulu Control Facility (HCF) will be supported by renewable energy and the convenience of shaded parking spots. Energy produced from this system will support the two main operations fun by the FAA: Honolulu International Airport’s control tower and the Honolulu Center Radar Approach Control (CERAP), monitoring the Pacific Ocean surrounding Hawai’i.
