Q1 2016 – April 2016

Charleston, SC – Last quarter, Hannah Solar Government Services (HSGS) was awarded a project by a local not-for-profit organization in downtown Charleston. Star Gospel Mission—which has provided meals, warm beds, and guidance to the unhoused population of Charleston since 1904—contracted HSGS to design and build a roof-mounted PV system on their facility. The 17.20-kW system has been designed, installed, and commissioned, and it will save the non-profit $5,500 in energy costs per year, allowing them to put more money towards helping others.

Upon construction completion and system commissioning, Reverend William Christian III, Star Gospel Mission’s Executive Director, said, “Without exaggerating, our utilization of the services of Hannah Solar Government Systems has been one of the best decisions this Mission has made in its 112 years of existence.”

Also occurring this past quarter, the non-profit organization located in Columbia, Midlands Housing Alliance, has awarded HSGS a contract to design and install a roof-mounted PV system on the roof of their facility, Transitions Homeless Recovery Center. Design is underway.
